Script Installers / Installing in a Different Database

I see at http://www.virtualmin.com/faq/one-faq?faq_id=1511#3363 that it is possible to set up different script installers for Virtualmin. I'm interested in setting up multiple instances of a particular package. To do so, I would like to be able to specify a different database to be associated with the package than what is already listed in the Installer.

Where do I find the script installers? Is that the best way to change the database name?

I found the script installers: /usr/libexec/webmin/virtual-server/scripts/.

I still wonder whether modifying the script is the best way to go with this.

Hey Mark,

It is possible to specify a different database when installing (if other dbs are available or if the logged in user has privileges to create new databases), but if you want to force it to always go into a different database, then modifying the script is probably the only way to do.

Thanks for the response Joe.

Right now, I'm the only person running sites upon my machines. I have always installed the packages as root. So, I get to create the databases! ;-)

I will see what I can do with the scripts.
