Use domain instead of IP Address to access Webmin/Virtualmin

I tried to follow these instructions but it didnt take on my end.

https://doxfer.webmin.com/Webmin/Securing_Webmin https://www.virtualmin.com/node/65584

I am trying to access virtualmin/webmin through a subdomain such as server.mysitedomain.com:10000 if I cannot secure access through my IP addresses. The instructions on the two links above were not clear to me.

I am also not sure they pertain exactly to my issue.

@SafeNSound

hi, well you need to understand how it works..in first place when you manage your own dnses correctly and by your self - meaning the freedom - sure it is possible, but if you do not - which I was able to avoid it in past - I guess you cant. simple answer I think.... ps I do not use dock or anything else - I am old school coder nothing else. have good day chap!

Configuring/troubleshooting Debian servers is always great fun
