Howdy -- Webmin 1.940 was just released as a development release on December 24th, it'll be pushed to the Virtualmin repositories sometime in the next few days or weeks.

You can always grab it from the webmin.com server in the meantime, in the development packages area.

It looks like you're using Virtualmin GPL there though, the area here is for folks using Virtualmin Pro.

It's no problem to get support!

But you'd want to do so using the Forums. We monitor the Forums, along with lots of wonderful in the community. Thanks!

Hi, I undestand, but today I installed some new servers, with latest 1.930 minimal version, and I cannot install any modules because it have 1.940 dependecies. So if I understand right I must to wait some day or weeks. If is an development version why it update the module dependecies to this version?

I thin this an not an technical question, how it can help the me the community in this case? From where I can download the modules which is compatible with 1.930 verision. Please help me I'm blocked now.

Hi Jamie, I think you not read my post, on https://sourceforge.net/projects/webadmin/files/webmin/1.940/ it is not available the Minimal version of Webmin 1.940 in Unix tar/gzip format. I install just the minimal version of webmin to servers, because I'm not need the not used modules. The latest minimal available is 1.930 and for this version the modules not installing, dependencies issue.

You could simply install "full" version and then go to Webmin/Webmin Users, click on needed user and disable in Available Modules tab modules you don't use.

By doing so, you will not only have them removed from navigation menu but also revoke access for them.

Hi, I know how I can install an configure, not that is the problem, I don't want to use the full, just what I need. We have more than 50 servers, and on all servers we have the minimal version and we ha strict security policies to not install just what we use. Please take available the minimal version for 1.940 I don't think is a big request.

Sorry for the confusion. The webmin-minimal.tar.gz release is one of our least used releases (I've been here for over 10 years and I didn't even know it existed), but the 1.940 version will be added to the repository.

Things may be a little slower due to the holidays, but that'll be updated as soon as we can.

If you need something sooner, you can try one of the workarounds Ilia mentioned, but we'll do our best to get the 1.940 minimal release updated soon.

Hi, I use the webmin more than 5years, the core minimal in aproximativ 50 servers, and virtualmin and cloudmin in some servers, it is a very usefull interface, we like it. As I write we have policies why we dont install full, and I don't whant to make any workarounds, so I really apreciate if soon as you can you take accessible the minimal version of 1.940. The minimal version is a good choice on very small servers with minimal space, that is another option why we don't install full to save more space. If you send some instructions which files it need, on future we make own version from minimal webmin to not have same problem and to stay blocked with more projects. Thanks in advance,

The 1.940 minimal version is out now - it was an oversight that it was missing during the release of the rest of the 1.940 packages.

Just a note on this. With the minimal, I suggest keeping a full version handy so you can add a module when you need it by copy the files rather than using the upgrader. That way you don't have to upgrade every time they tick up the version. Write a script to suck out the modules you want from the full version makes upgrading easier as well when a new version does come up. Just install the new min, ball up the modules you want from the full version, and install them into minimal. Easy to automate
