Virtualmin problem with domains on EC2

Hi,

I am currently attempting to use the AMI that was published by Virtualmin and am having very little luck. I had to do some tweaks to mailman to get it to work and now for some reason the internal dns is not working.

What i mean is i have the domain pointed to the IP for the instance. Which from my understanding virtualmin should be able to determine the hostname coming in to properly direct traffic to the right content, well its not working.

Any help would be appreciated.

Could you explain further about the IP / DNS problem?

EC2 is a little odd in that the main network interface on the system has an internal 10.something IP address, which is mapped to the external IP via NAT. This means that if you create a DNS domain using Virtualmin, it will by default use the internal IP address for records like www.yourdomain.com, which isn't what you want.

The fix is to go to System Settings -> Module Config, and enter the external IP in the 'Default IP address for DNS records' field - then create your virtual servers.

I spent hours trying to figure this out. Is there a one or two click solution for those who already had an ec2 instance with virtualservers loaded with wrong default ip address?

Thanks
