Non-www version does not work but www works

Adding an alias for the bare domain would make no sense, because it's the name of the virtual host, already. When you create a new virtual server, for example, &quot;virtualmin.com&quot;, Virtualmin will create a new VirtualHost with a ServerName of &quot;virtualmin.com&quot;, and a ServerAlias of &quot;www.virtualmin.com&quot;. So, an additional ServerAlis of &quot;virtualmin.com&quot; is nonsensical.

If you've created an alias why are you asking how to create an alias? I'm confused. What problem are you having?

Also the BIND troubleshooting tips section of the Webmin documentation might be helpful, as it sounds like you're a little vague on how DNS works and whether it is working correctly in your deployment. ( http://doxfer.com/Webmin/BINDTroubleshootingTools )

We're going to need to see some kind of error or log entries or something. Just saying, &quot;it doesn't work&quot; isn't really useful. ;-)
