License validation errors for new installs

Howdy all,

If you installed Virtualmin Professional in the past 36 hours or so, you will have probably seen a license validation error (".. a problem was detected : Your serial number is licenced for only 1 servers, but is being used on 12.").

This was caused by me skipping a step when deploying the new install.sh (which adds tentative FreeBSD 7.1 support).

The problem can be corrected without reinstallation or re-download of the install script using the following command:

virtualmin change-licence --serial SERIAL --key KEY

Where SERIAL and KEY should be replaced with your serial number and license key from the serial numbers page here at Virtualmin.com ( http://www.virtualmin.com/serial/ )

There is no need to re-download or reinstall Virtualmin if you receive this error! If the above command does not correct the problem, please file a ticket and we'll assist you.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Regards, Joe
