mailbox becomes inaccessible when you reach your quota of space

I'm having a strange problem with a server.

When you fill a box (the default value of 50m), it becomes inaccessible, you can not even access the mail box to clear.

Neither can be accessed or Usermin webmail (RoundCube).

The only way to solve it is to increase the disk quota so that user can again access your account.

This only happens to me with a server (Debian Lenny with the latest versions of virtualmin), but I have other similar servers that do not have this problem.

Also sometimes I have to delete the files dovecot indexes of the user's account to access your account.

Any clues?

Sorry my english :)

Thanks to all the virtualmin comunity.

i've hit this issue on centos as well. I just temp increased the disk quota and cleared out the spam and trash cans then dropped it back down.
