I want to transfer sone virutal servers from one server to another one using the transfer virtual server function on the webgui. But it fails with following error:
Failed to transfer server : Failed to contact Virtualmin on destination system : root@postfuchs.dieargen2.at's password: Permission denied, please try again. root@postfuchs.dieargen2.at's password: Permission denied, please try again. root@postfuchs.dieargen2.at's password: Permission denied (publickey,password).
I double checked the password and also logged into the new server with this password successfully.
The two servers have the same configuration and version - Debian 7.6 and Virtualmin 4.09GPL
Any hints where I can search for the failure?

Howdy,
You may want to try logging into your new server, from the server that you're attempting to perform the transfer from.
If you do that, does it work properly, or do you run into a login issue?

I am able to login to the new server with the password. The same password (copy&paste) is used to transfer the server but it does not work. Are there limitations of the passwords characters or length?

I have the same problem. I wonder if this issue resolved?
I've not tried the virtual server transfer function yet, but if password is a problem, maybe you could setup the the SSH public-key (passwordless) login so that the root user from server 1 can login to the destination server without having to enter password.
Also, just wondering whether when you copy and paste the password, would it have added some extra whitespace that may cause the problem?
