mailman list not associated with any virtual domain

The default mailman list exists on the system, but is not linked to any virtual domain. It does not appear to be set up correctly, so we can't administer the list, nor can anyone send messages to the list.

For example, go to: https://avenue.org:10000/virtualmin-mailman/unauthenticated/admin.cgi

See that the mailman list is on this list, and that the text above says: (Send questions and comments to mailman@avenue.org.)

Messages sent to mailman@avenue.org show this error in the logs: mailman@avenue.org: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual alias table

Status:

That's normal .. the mailman list is used (and required) by mailman internally, so isn't associated with any domain. The default admin address is just mailman@yourhostname, but you can change that.

You generally don't need to touch this default list at all..
