webalizer reports not working Does issue #11778 play into this at all?

in hescominsoon.com: Running Webalizer to generate report from /var/log/virtualmin/hescominsoon.com_access_log ..

reports stopped being generated oct 11 manual run gives error above.

in emmanuelcomputerconsulting.com reports stopped being generated in mid october. I did a manual run and they populated. Don't know if they will automatically generate will observe.

in 402foundation.org everything appears normal manual run was successful. don't know if automatic run will work. Will observe.

in godsfrozenchosen.com reports stopped being generated on oct 12.

ok found permissions were set wrong on the hescominoson.com files. Will observe to see if the scheduled tasks run..please leave open..:)

gfc, hcs, and ecc reports are NOT automatically running despite being scheduled.

yes..just need them to run automatically like they used to do.

What happens if you SSH in as root and run a command like :

/etc/webmin/webalizer/webalizer.pl /var/log/virtualmin/domain.com_access_log

also, if you run crontab -l , does a job exist that runs that command?

Ok, that looks like the cause.

I suggest disabling and then re-enabling Webalizer on one domain to re-create that missing script.

ok it's on two or three..i'll try that and see if that does it. Will check tonight and see if they auto launch.

ok stats are not inconsistent. hourly stop at nov23. everything else appears to be fine.

So if you check the log file /var/log/cron , do you see records of webalizer.pl and awstats.pl being run for your domains' logs?

not using awstats...will check on the webalizer though. Nov 29 02:54:01 web crond[13755]: (root) CMD (/etc/webmin/webalizer/webalizer.pl /var/log/virtualmin/emmanuelcomputerconsulting.com_access_log)

Nov 29 04:48:01 web crond[25010]: (root) CMD (/etc/webmin/webalizer/webalizer.pl /var/log/virtualmin/hescominsoon.com_access_log)

went and checked ecc and the 29th shows less than 5% of average activity. I ran the generation manually and it came back up where it should be.

Checked out hcs.com and saw the exact same behavior. running the script manulaly got hte results back to where they should be.

402foundation is not used right now(it's a palceholder so it's not a major concern) godsfrozenchosen..checked it's stats no results on 28th or 29th. Had to manually run stats.

Any ideas?

It's only the 29th today though .. did you wait till the scheduled run on the 30th to pick up all the stats for the 29th?

Ok i just went back and checked my reports. They had not run since dec 15th. Had to manually kick them off.

If you check the Cron log (/var/log/cron), does it show the webalizer.pl scripts being run?

nods they are there but the stats aren't being updated in the reports. I have to manually kick off the update for the stats to show up.

How about if you run the command from the cron job manually? Something like :

/etc/webmin/virtual-server/webalizer.pl /var/log/virtualmin/domain.com_access_log

does that update the stats?

Ok i wound up moving to another server so i only backed up the actual files..none of the settings. When i isntlaled everything ALL of my domains are missing at elast 5 days of data in the webalzier logs. in one domain all of January except today is gone.

I'll let this go for a couple of days and see if maybe it just hosed itself for some reason..:)
