Can't access Virtualmin after creation of SSL Certificate

I have asked this question in http://www.virtualmin.com/node/17261, but nobody answered, so reposting:

I have successfully created SSL Certificate and added to one of my virtual hosts. But then, as they say curiosity killed the cat, I noticed very much inviting copy buttons in Virtualmin and pressed the first one, I guess I have copied it to Webmin and... can't access Virtualmin anymore :( Who can tell where I can return old values via command line?

Howdy -- well, the forums are the right place for folks using Virtualmin GPL to ask questions :-) It's possible no one saw your post at the end of that thread, you may want to try starting a new thread.

To give you a push in the right direction though -- the button you clicked should have worked, unless something was wrong with that SSL cert.

However, the original SSL cert isn't available any longer, it would have been overwritten by the new SSL cert you were installing.

You are able to tweak what SSL cert Webmin is using, by editing /etc/webmin/miniserv.conf.

If you have a working SSL cert available, you could set "certfile" and "keyfile" in there to a working SSL cert and key. If you don't have one, you can always set "ssl=0", and then access Webmin over an insecure "http" link, just to setup your SSL again.

After making changes to the miniserv.conf, you'd need to restart Webmin.

Thanks, adreychek, this helped. Is it possible to turn issues off for gpl users, please. Otherwise, it is confusing.

Great, I'm glad that helped!
