I recently migrated to new server hardware and moved virtual servers by backing them up and then restoring on the new server.
The primary difference on the new server is a different path to the home directories. Until recently I have not used the virtualmin installation for hosting email so most of my virtual servers do not have "Mail for domain enabled".
If I create a new virtual server and then enable email for the domain, the server administrator has the "Edit Mail Aliases" menu item available. If I enable email for the domain on any of the imported/restored virtual servers "Edit Mail Aliases" is not available for the server administrator but it is available for me as the overall administrator for the virtualmin installation.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

You can go to Administration Options -> Edit Owner Limits -> Allowed capabilities and features , and check "Can manage aliases"

Thanks, is there a way to set this option on multiple virtual servers, or do I have to do it one at a time?

Sorry, but there is no way to do it for multiple domains (unless you write a shell script that calls the
virtualmin modify-limits
command in a loop).Submitted by Issues on Tue, 11/27/2012 - 19:18 Comment #4
