Support alternative SSH ports in migration

Hi,

When trying to migrate virtual servers recently, I tried to use the Migrate option instead of the backup/restore method.

SSH was the only transfer method available to me, but I couldn't specify the non-standard SSH port in use on the destination server.

Could this be added as a form field or as allowable input (e.g. server.com:2222) on the destination server field in the migration form?

Thanks, Steve

Howdy -- while I haven't tested that, it's actually possible using hostname.tld:PORT will work there. That is the way to specify an alternate port on the backup form, and the same syntax may work there too.

If so, it sounds like we need to make sure that's documented on that screen :-)

That's weird - I did try that.

I do have a couple of migrations coming up, so I'll try it again and report back with my findings.

Thanks, Steve

Jamie, it sounds like the Transfer Virtual Server option does not support the "hostname:port" syntax, meaning it wouldn't be possible to transfer to an SSH server using an alternate SSH port.

Yeah, support for hostname:port is incomplete. It will be fixed in the next Virtualmin release (4.13) though.
