Letsencrypt: w/ and w/o www

When in Vmin > Server Config > Manage SSL Certs > Let's Encrypt > "Request Certificate", the requested certificate will always be:

Common name: domain.com SANs: domain.com

I strongly believe that this configuration makes more sense:

Common name: domain.com SANs: domain.com, www.domain.com

so both, w/ and w/o leading www will result in an intact certificate. With the current solution and for our configuration (domain in vmin set up without www.) we always receive an error: missing domain in common name.

Or, if this should not be the default behaviour (understandable why), please offer an input to pass the SANs by hand, so the user can choose the get the cert with both w/ and w/o www.

Would that be doable?

Yes, this makes sense - and in the next Virtualmin release, you will be able to specify multiple hostnames for Let's Encrypt certs.

Additionally, i would like to request a feature for auto-renewing the certs after 2 months.

That feature will also be in the next release.

Very cool - is there an estimation on when the next release might be available (for Ubuntu) ?

A few weeks most likely.

is this been implemented? The issue is still in "Needs work"

Yes, the latest release should include this fix already.
