We've recently noticed that the Virtualmin backups in version 4.18.gpl have some very serious flaws that basically prevents backups from working at all. We had our site backups set to "continue with other features and servers" upon an error, but instead, the backups would just die and worst of all, none of the tarballs would get copied to the backup server by SSH.
This means there are two serious bugs in the Virtualmin backups:
1) "Continue on" should keep going.
2) Every tarball should be copied to the SSH server immediately after it is made, not after all the other scheduled backups have completed. Even if "Continue on" worked properly, this should be done in case the backups are interrupted for any other reason. Some backups are way better than none at all.
