Virtualmin virtual-server module version 6.01 released

Howdy all,

I've rolled out version 6.01 of the Virtualmin virtual-server module.

Changes since 6.00:

  • Multiple remote MySQL servers can now be defined, and selected on a per-domain basis at virtual server creation time. This allows some or all domains to easily use different MySQL hosts.
  • Support for rating scripts and viewing existing ratings has been removed, as this was a confusing and rarely-used feature.
  • Installable scripts can now be in multiple categories, and the UI has been updated to reflect this.
  • WordPress Install Script invisibility on some platforms fixed.
  • New Dropbox API support.
  • File Manager link for domain owners fixed.
  • A variety of other minor bugfixes.

As always, let us know if you run into any problems.

Cheers,

Joe

whenever i try to install virtualmin 5 it giving me an issue,,,Please read below and provide me a solution.

Hey, you! Yeah, you! What do you think you're doing?

This is not the right version of the install script. This is old, and unmaintained. If you had troubles with the new install.sh, this is not the solution to those troubles.

Ask about your troubles with the new install.sh in the forums and we'll be able to help.

There is no reason to use this version of the install script. If you really want to, after I've asked you not to, you'll have to edit it to remove the 'exit 1' that appears in the code after this message.

But, please don't. Use the actively maintained version.

Use the maintained version of the installer, just like it says. If there is a problem with the current version of the install script, report those problems and I'll either fix them or help you work through them. The vm5-install.sh was linked for a short time after the new one was released for specific problems, which have long been resolved.

What can I do to make that text more clear? Do not use that version of the install script. It means exactly what it says, and I tried to be clear about why.

In short: Go to the download page. Download the script it tells you to download. Run it. Be happy. (Or report problems you run into, and I'll help fix them.)

Install Scripts display got reorganized and simplified, which led to some scripts not showing up in the list. It was a bug. It has been fixed.
